This is the way he can see the world. As a day is not the same as yesterday, every hour, minute and second can’t repeat itself. The objects seem to be unchanged as before but every time he looks closer it’s like in motion.
Each time when I’m trying to tell a new story with a pencil and brush I’m starting over from scratch. It looks like I’m at the beginning of my life without any knowledge or experience.

The Nature shows us all.
Study Nature
Exploring the elements of plans, flowers, animals and humans brought him to deeper knowledge to understand basics of drawings.
Motion of Seasons
Every season brings unexpected modification of human mind as well as nature itself. Inspiration goes behind the limits.
Weather
Winter snow falls, Summer storms, Spring chills and Autumn warm sunsets are teaching him where to find the expression in his work.
When a light is carving a human face or body the wind is brushing my memories of what I adopted in the past. I can't resist marking that moment on paper or canvas.

Portrait

Portrait is the mirror of the human soul. Sometimes it is impossible to read reflexions of people’s mind through the face.

The light is the only master sculptor. The small change of intensity effects many perceptions. It’s the game of hide and seek in form of all objects. Fascinating and never-ending story.
Bio
At the age of 12 he got his first oil colour kit and canvas. He didn’t know much about the technique and he started alla prima. In 1976 he tried to get study art at Slovak Academy but he was refused due to lack of talent. Then he started Technical University to study architecture. In 1977 he was introduced to the artist-master Jozef Bubak. After five years of sucking up the knowledge from his wisdom and experience about nature, light and shadows, objects, animals, materials, portrait and human body he started to find his own way of expression. From 1979 to 1998 he exposed his art in a few collective exhibitions in Slovakia. After moving to Canada he continued to create his paintings occasionally. Now he is doing his paintings frequently.
His work is inspired by real people and their life situations. He interprets the human body in terms of well being, perseverance, energy and relaxation. He convey his version of subconscious and conscious reality. He is trying to achieve an enhanced depth of colour with layering techniques. It takes on an individual character perceived not only with the visual but through other senses as well. Portraying the body in an abstract way may use its individual parts, and symbols connected to the emotional life of the model. His compositions are usually adorned with symbols, animals, insects, flowers or any other objects. He employ a strict geometrical layout in his compositions embedded with storytelling of each piece of his art. This background net is a skeleton to complete an expression of his idea on canvas.
